Coin Banks

Good savings habits start young! Here's a great way to combine your recycling skills with a bit of practical craftiness.
Encourage your children to split their savings into 3 buckets:
One for spending, One for saving, and one for sharing with a nearby charity!

Containers like tea/coffee/hot choclate/pringles have plastic lids that make it easy to cut out a coin slot. Mason jars can be decorated with a piece of fabric on top!

This 8.5 x 11 sheet can be downloaded, coloured, cut out and glued or taped. Each square is 5" w x 3" H.

Some decorating Ideas:
Coloured craft paper
Ribbon and bows
Googly Eyes
Sparkly glue
Store bought Stickers
Sharpie Pens

For glass jars, try painting the inside of the jar with acrylic paint, for fun! Sharpie pens also work well on the outside of the glass.
